Despite being chased by the threat of thunderstorms, twelve hearty TAP volunteers took to the streets for Friends of Casco Bay’s stenciling program. All around the Bayside neighborhood, we stenciled “Do Not Dump” on hundreds of storm drains to protect the waters from harmful street runoff and debris. We were joined by Doug Roncarati, of the City of Portland’s Stormwater Program, Sarah Lyman, of Friends of Casco Bay, many members of the West End Neighborhood Association who wanted to help, and our youngest volunteers yet (at ages 10 and 12)! Coming together for pizza at Otto afterwards was a great way to cap off a productive evening of volunteering and making connections!
