The sledding hill was teeming with kids and excitement at Winterkids’ Welcome to Winter Festival in Payson Park, and TAP volunteers helped to maintain order and safety on the hill. The Festival is an annual event to draw out all Maine families to enjoy winter, with particular emphasis on immigrant families who are experiencing winter for the first time. With great weather and snow, we were able to embrace winter’s fun side! We also enjoyed an after-event at Otto’s East End with Adam from Winterkids, where we could continue the conversations started earlier in the day and learn more about their wonderful organization.
